Hallo guys!
My name is Nichakarn and I attend Saint John’s International School. My nickname is AOEI (pronounced like Ai) but all my friends at school call me NID which is short for my first name. Nid became my nickname in Year 1 so I’m used to it.
I am currently 15 years old, soon to be 16 on the 31st of October which is… BOO! Halloween! I can speak in three languages, Thai, English and Japanese. I’ve only been studying Japanese for about 10 months so my Japanese is obviously not as good as my English. I’ve been in SJIS since Nursery and I that was when I was 2 years old.
I am now in Year 11 so let’s work my math’s… If I’m not mistaken, this is my 11th year at SJIS! Wow, that’s pretty long right? SJIS is my first school and probably will be my only school because according to my future plans, I may be moving on to University next year after I finish my GCSE’s. I’ve been here practically my whole life so SJIS is like my second home. It’s really creepy how some of my Nursery friends are still with me up until now!
I’m Thai and I have lived in Thailand since I was born but I’ve travelled to many countries. Mostly in Asia but I’ve only been to Europe once. Japan is the best place of all the other countries I have visited because, first of all, the food there is SO good and I like how determined Japanese people are.
Art, music and language is what I’m in to. I have loved to draw since I was very young and it is one of the best things I can do. There are no boundaries in art so I always feel free and relaxed when I draw. Art is all about your creativity; it’s not like Mathematics where there will be definite solutions for every question. In my spare time I often sing and listen to music. I’ve entered singing competitions before in the past and it was great experience! I’m not a bookworm but you can call me a junior bookworm because I read tons of books but not all the time. It’s so true that if you read lots of books (in English of course), your English will improve. Seriously, I became addicted to books in Year… 4? Yes, and I grew to love writing stories and descriptive writing since then.

Other than studying, I also love playing sports! I was in the school’s swim team from Year 2 but I quit swimming in Year 8. I’ve learnt so many things from playing sports, it has taught me to accept defeat and celebrate victory. I made so many friends from competing in BISAC and FOBISSEA competitions and it was absolutely a memorable experience.
I started playing football after I quit swimming. Even though I’m not that good at football, I enjoy it as much as swimming. But I’m getting better though, ha ha ha.
My ambition in the future is to be able to work to my fullest ability, be happy and successful. I want to work for any job that is art related because it is what I feel most happy doing. I want to make this my best year at St John’s!!
