Saint John's International School Bangkok, Thailand

Papavee Kangwanwatana

Hi, my name is Papavee Kangwanwatana, Vee. I am in Y.11 at Saint John’s International School. I have attended Saint John’s International School since Y.10. I am Thai and I have lived in Bangkok for my whole life.

When I was young I had the opportunity to learn ‘Khim’, a Thai musical instrument. ‘Khim’ is made of wood and trapezoidal in shape, with numerous brass strings. ’Khim’ also, is easy to play and has a nice sound. I have shown how to play it in Saint John’s School on special occasions. I love it and am proud because I have got many certificates.

When I moved to Amnuaysilpa School, I had the opportunity to show my talent again in this school. The proudest moment for me, was at a show where I had the opportunity to show off my talent in front of Princess Soamsawalee at the Siam Pavalai theatre, Siam Paragon. That was the last time that I have shown it but it is a very good memory of mine. I haven’t played for a while but I hope that one day I will have a chance to play ‘Khim’ again, because it is my favourite instrument.
