PTA

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) forms a part of the Parent Information Network providing a vital link between the parents and the school.   The St John’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a voluntary organization that brings together in partnership parents and teachers of pupils at the school.  

Through this partnership the PTA and the school are able to better understand each other, learn more about each other, which aids in the development and improvement of the education of our children.  The PTA may not represent the views of all parents, but is an excellent forum for communication.  We would therefore encourage more of our parents to become involved.  For details of the next meeting please see the news section.

The PTA is involved in many aspects of the school community examples of activities are organising:

•      - fundraising for extra items or services to provide additional opportunities for pupils

•      - social events which allow parents to get to know each other

•      - meetings to inform parents about issues in education
